The passion for footwear was born in Arezzo, a Tuscan city rich in artisan traditions. Stefano Mugnai represents the third generation of a family of shoemakers. From them, he inherited the love for the craft and the meticulous attention to every detail. His innate curiosity and aesthetic sensibility complete this unique heritage.
High Fashion
After years spent in the family business, where he built the foundation of his technical expertise, in 2014 Stefano decided to challenge himself with new professional endeavors.
He collaborated with some of the most prestigious international luxury Maisons — Azzedine Alaïa, Christian Louboutin, Chloé — holding positions of responsibility in product development and industrialization. This path allowed him to work closely with world-renowned creative directors, refining the aesthetic taste that defines his products today.
The Return to Origins: Slow Fashion
In 2025, Stefano felt the need to return to the essence: to rediscover the authenticity of craftsmanship and the purity of an action that requires time. For him, "fast fashion" doesn't mean "cheap," but "fast": a system that has lost silence, listening, and attention to detail. From this awareness, STEFANO MUGNAI takes shape—a project that chooses calmness as a method and durability as a value.
